Are my screenshots stored?
Uploaded screenshots are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours. Only the analysis results (risk score, flagged patterns, and recommendations) are stored so you can refer back to them. We never keep your images long-term.
Can DateGuard guarantee someone is safe?
No. DateGuard is an AI-powered risk assessment tool, not a background check service. A low risk score does not guarantee someone is safe, and a high risk score does not guarantee someone is a scammer. Always use your personal judgment and take appropriate precautions when meeting someone new.
Which dating apps does it work with?

Is DateGuard available outside the US?
Yes. DateGuard is available worldwide on the iOS App Store. Our scam detection patterns cover international romance fraud schemes, not just those targeting a specific country. The app and all analysis are in English.
What should I do if I think I'm being scammed?
Stop all communication with the person immediately. Do not send money under any circumstances. Report the profile on the dating platform. If you've already sent money or shared sensitive information, contact your local law enforcement and your bank. You can also report romance scams to the FTC (US), Action Fraud (UK), or your country's equivalent authority.
