Delete Account — DateGuard
Permanently delete your DateGuard account and all associated data.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your DateGuard account directly from the app:
- Open DateGuard and go to Settings
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
What Gets Deleted
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. The following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account and profile information (email address)
- All scan history and analysis results
- All uploaded images (if any remain in temporary storage)
- All risk assessments, flags, and recommendations
- Your subscription data (note: you must cancel your subscription separately through the App Store or Stripe)
Deletion Timeline
Once you confirm account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. During this period, your account will be immediately deactivated and you will no longer be able to access DateGuard. After 30 days, deletion is complete and no recovery is possible.
Cancel Your Subscription First
If you have an active premium subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account to avoid being charged after deletion. You can cancel your subscription through:
- Apple App Store — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → DateGuard → Cancel
- Stripe — manage your subscription through the link in your confirmation email
Alternative: Request Deletion by Email
If you are unable to delete your account through the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at privacy@heijnesdigital.com. Please include the email address associated with your DateGuard account. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.
