- Profile Information: Your origin country, destination country, planned move date, and situation (single, couple, family, pets).
- User Content: Tips you share, documents you upload, expense records, checklist progress, and chat messages with buddies.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: How you interact with the App, features you use, and your preferences.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version.
- Location Data: Only when you explicitly grant permission, to show relevant local services and tips.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and personalize the App's features (checklists, tips, cost calculations)
- Enable communication between users (buddy matching and chat)
- Process your premium subscription purchase
- Send important updates about the App
- Improve and develop new features
- Ensure security and prevent fraud
3. AI Features
SettleIn uses artificial intelligence to provide features such as:
- AI Coach for answering relocation questions
- Scam detection for rental listings
- Tip verification
- Document translation
When you use these features, your input is processed by our AI service providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) to generate responses. We do not use your personal data to train AI models. These providers process data according to their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides:
- Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
- Encrypted data at rest
- Servers located in the European Union
- Regular security audits and compliance certifications
Documents you upload are stored securely and are only accessible to you unless you choose to share them.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Service Providers: Companies that help us operate the App (hosting, analytics, AI processing).
- Other Users: When you use the buddy feature, your profile information is shared with potential matches. Chat messages are visible to your conversation partners.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

- Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can delete your account at any time through the App settings, which will remove your personal data within 30 days.

SettleIn is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

The App may contain links to third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these services. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date.
